Conclude Without Beginning

She can rest.

  1. I found this to be much more difficult than I thought it would be, mainly because I tried not to be satisfied with using some kind of conventional pop-culture ending, like "The End". It was a challenge to come up with something that seemed like an ending but that also seemed unlikely to be construed as a beginning, especially considering literary tendencies to start in medias res. I am not totally satisfied -- the goal is to come up with something that seems like an ending and cannot possibly be construed as a beginning; given the aforementioned literary tendency, I found this, again, to be difficult.

  2. I doubt I will watch the first two. I saw the final episode of the prequel, which I think is episode III. I watched it with my kids. They loved it, but I didn’t think it was all that good. But seeing the ending reminded me of a time years earlier when episode V was just released, which was the second one. I was walking by a theater where it was playing with some friends. We had just seen it the night before. There were all these young kids with expectant faces standing anxiously in line. “He is Luke’s father!” I screamed, and then we ran away. At the time I thought it was funny, but now that I am a father I am not so sure.
